Sunday's Song- Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee

We heard the music to this at the end of church last Sunday.  My friend, Barb, was wondering why they were playing Beethoven's Symphony.  And I was confused because I  knew it was a hymn.  But apparently we were both right.  It was Beethoven's 9th Symphony and later, Henry van Dyke wrote words to go along with it.

Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee

1. Joyful, joyful, we adore thee,
 God of glory, Lord of love;
 hearts unfold like flowers before thee,
 opening to the sun above.
 Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
 drive the dark of doubt away.
 Giver of immortal gladness,
 fill us with the light of day!

2. All thy works with joy surround thee,
 earth and heaven reflect thy rays,
 stars and angels sing around thee,
 center of unbroken praise.
 Field and forest, vale and mountain,
 flowery meadow, flashing sea,
 chanting bird and flowing fountain,
 call us to rejoice in thee.

3. Thou art giving and forgiving,
 ever blessing, ever blest,
 well-spring of the joy of living,
 ocean depth of happy rest!
 Thou our Father, Christ our brother,
 all who live in love are thine;
 teach us how to love each other,
 lift us to the joy divine.

4. Mortals, join the mighty chorus
 which the morning stars began;
 love divine is reigning o'er us,
 binding all within its span.
 Ever singing, march we onward,
 victors in the midst of strife;
 joyful music leads us sunward,
 in the triumph song of life.
Below is the first verse in song.

Review: Hill's® Science Diet® Ideal Balance™ dog food

For the last month or so, I have been feeding my chihuahua, Sugar, Hill's® Science Diet® Ideal Balance™ dog food.  Sugar can be a very picky eater.  I have noticed in the past that she likes dog food that has chicken as a main ingredient.  So, I was very happy to see that the first ingredient was chicken.  Also inside are fruits and vegetables, plus it has no corn or artificial colors.

My pretty Sugar
Sugar likes her new dog food a lot!  She has always had a nice coat on her, but I think it may even be a bit more shiny after trying Hill's® Science Diet® Ideal Balance™ dog food.  Plus, she seems to have more energy than before.  She's been running around the house more lately.

See her shiny coat

I received a free bag of dog food from Hill's and BzzAgent.com in exchange for an honest review.
