Are you saved?

This is the question our preacher asked of us this morning. It seems he and a few of the men from our church had dinner with a couple of guys this week. The next day he found out those two men had died in a boating accident. No one knows what happened.

The preacher was so scared of someone not knowing Jesus, today at church, he just had to ask. He not only asked, he got down on his knees and begged. He begged everyone to please not leave church without asking Him to be their savior.

It was very a very touching service. Several people went to the altar! I would like to ask you if you are saved? If not, like our preacher said, you may not have another church service to come to. Don't delay ask for forgiveness from your sins and follow Jesus.

Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Believe me, I am far from perfect! I make mistakes daily. But, I pick myself back up and keep going. Prayer can get you through anything!

I was just reading a post at www.homesteadblogger.com/simplyhandmaiden about counting your blessings, not troubles. This is a great reminder to do so!

definitely a great question to ask of ourselves and others. isn't it so incredibly wonderful to have confidence in where we will be spending eternity...and to be able to offer that hope to others as well!
