My little one is 9 1/2 months old and has the teeth of the shark from Jaws! I don't remember my other one having this many teeth this early. Maybe it's because I didn't nurse him this long. He has 6 teeth and it looks like more are coming in! Take a look at those chompers!
Since he's the last baby I'm gonna have, I kinda don't want to give up nursing. I wanted to do it until he was a year old. But in the last week he has really started biting the (how do I put this?) person that feeds him. And these aren't little bites! Remember those HUGE teeth up there? These bites hurt, and some have brought blood!
It's very discouraging. When he bites I want to quit! But afterwards, I'm all sad again and change my mind. He's my baby and I want what's best for him. But I don't like the pain. Can I make it another 2 1/2 months? Only time will tell. Pray for me. It looks like I'll need it!

I can totally relate! I'm still nursing baby boy, and he's 15 months old now! He's really getting a mouth full of teeth! Every time he opens wide to nurse, and I see all of those chompers coming at me, I brace myself. Fortunately for me he hasn't really bitten hard... yet. If I could make a suggestion; when he bites, lightly tug on his hair. I know it may sound mean, I'm not talking about causing him to cry from pain, I'm just saying a light tug to get his attention, accompanied with a stern, but not loud, "No." I did this with my daughter and she only bit me twice. If you yell when he bites, he may find it humorous and do it again. Anyways, hope things get better for you so you don't have to stop nursing yet!
When mine had this problem I pushed her whole face into me to where she couldn't breathe till she let go and pulled off. It worked like a charm, she quit biting immediately. I found the advice on la leache or something.
I had this problem with both of mine. A few times of saying NO forcefully and then sitting them down, we had no more problems! They learned fast that if it happened, no more nursing!

I nursed Anna until she was 21 months or so. We had a few bites but none drew blood. I would do like one of the others and take her off and say no and continue nursing a fwe minutes later. Of course that didn't help me not cringe when we would start out just waiting for it. Hang in there it should get better with time as long as you make sure he is aware that it hurts.
I nursed my son until he was 2.5 years old. He got his first teeth at 4 months. He only bit me twice, both times I unlatched him and put him on the floor. He got the idea quickly.
