12 month doctor visit

Hunter had his 12 month well child check-up yesterday. I had previously been worried about his overall growth. He had always been on the low end of the growth scale, so the doctor always sounded a little concerned.

He weighed in at 19 pounds 13 ounces. Still not 20 pounds. It's hard to believe how much smaller he is than his brother was at this time. Mitchell was already 23 pounds!

His height is 29 1/4 inches. I can tell he's been getting taller.

The doctor said his overall growth is fine. No need for me to worry. He said when you look at his growth the ratio is good. He lost more weight after he was born than most babies do. Then, he didn't gain like they thought he should. Maybe he will just be a thin toddler. Maybe he'll hit a growth spurt later, who knows. I am just glad the doctor said he's great.

When they checked his blood for anemia, he kicked the nurse. He also had to get 4 shots. Hunter was none to happy about those shots. It only took a couple minutes of cuddling with him to make him feel better. He got a sticker for his pain, and tried to eat it. The band aids the nurse put on him, were off within 10 minutes. Hope he didn't try and eat those too!

We also got a blessing at the doctors office. We had a credit of $35 and the receptionist gave me a $36 discount for paying in full. I was very thankful!
