Sunday's Song- Blessed Assurance

I love hymns. They just lift my spirit.
I thought I would share one that I love every once in a while.
Have a blessed Sunday!

      Blessed Assurance

1. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.

2. Perfect submission, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
angels descending bring from above
echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

3. Perfect submission, all is at rest;
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love.

That is one of my favorite always makes me think of my Dad, who had a wonderful voice and would really sing it out in church! I can almost hear him singing Blessed Assurance!

oh - that's one of my favorites!! And I didn't even know it LOL I know lots of hymns, but not necessarily the names of them. (Both my mom and my step-mom are choir directors, and my dad's the church secretary...needless to say, I have lots of church under my belt ;) )
