Our Tree-Part 2

Well, we tried to fix the tree where it would stand up. It was too small for the tree stand to hold it upright, so I gave up! I was getting pricked and cut and I got sick of it, so I went out and bought one. A cheap tree from Family Dollar. It was on sale, and I had a coupon, so it wasn't too bad. It was half the price of what a real tree would have cost me, and it'll do for this year at least. Don't laugh, I know it's small! And thin, and sparse, but oh well!

This is our Advent prayer chain. We put names of people who we wanted to pray for during all the days of Advent.

Check out my oldest son in the Santa Mickey hat. My little one is behind him checking it out. He's thinking what a cool hat, wonder if I can steal it.

Yep, just have to run from my brother really fast!

Nancy, I think your tree is darling! We love a real tree, too, but haven't bought one in years due to our budget.

I remember one year when I was working outside the home, we bought this big beautiful tree. We lived in an 3rd floor apartment in the city and had it all decorated and in front of a large picture window.

A friend of mine left the office for lunch and when she returned she told us that the tree was in the window when she passed and gone on her return. Sure enough, it had fallen over and broken many ornaments. I think it took months to pick needles out of the carpet. I laugh now, but then, it was not a bit funny!

Hope you can still use your real tree outdoors!

Merry Christmas,
Lea

I think your tree is beautiful! It is not the size of the tree it is the size of your heart that matters this time of year. Your boys look darling with their hats!
