Busy

I have been busy this week. The squash and zucchini have really started coming in. I've cooked some, but mostly I have been blanching and freezing them. Every day we get between 1 and 2 buckets full out of the garden. We have a ton of blooms on them right now, so I guess next week will be just as busy, if not more so.

I have put up enough squash and zucchini to make 14 casseroles this winter. Sorry if I haven't visited y'all much this week, but I truly have been busy!

I've missed you, but I am so happy to see all your hard work - the squash and zuchinni will be wonderful later in the year. I'll keep you in mind if I find any new and interesting recipes!

Hello, Beautiful harvest, A gardening friend shared some of her squash harvest with me and I made a squash casserole last night with it. I would be interested in your casserole recipe.

It's that time of year, Nancy... It's hard to stay in front of a computer when there is so much to do!
The squash and zucchini look wonderful!

Mmmmm. is that beautiful or what? It makes my mouth water, just thinking about all that fresh zucchini and squash! I could eat both, by the bucket load!

Your blog has been loading just fine lately - and now everyone else's is giving me problems!
Go figure!

*hugs*

Wow! That is awesome. At that rate, you might need a bigger freezer!

Wow! That's wonderful!

My mother always put up garden produce. She would admire her work and say how pretty the jars were. I never could understand that... until I grew up and did it myself!

Your bags of squash are pretty! They really are!

Oh I'm so jealous! I have managed to totally KILL all my zuccinni and squash plants - and my beans aren't coming up in the least. My tomatoes look awesome however so that is one good thing

Love seeing all the squash you are gathering! I didn't get to plant any this year. May I ask you how many plants you have in order to get that much????? I never know how many to plant!!!!
