End of Year Homeschool Bash
A couple days ago we had our end of the year bash for our homeschool group. The grandparents of some of the students let us have the party at their home. It was a beautiful home with many fun things for the kids to do. We had over 40 people come, so the kids had a wonderful time!
My husband and sons went fishing in the pond. Mitchell was fishing on the pier with some of the other kids. That's him sitting at the picnic table in the gray shirt in the picture below.
My husband was teaching our toddler how to fish when Hunter started reeling it in. That's when he realized there was a fish on the line. Hunter's first fish! Well, he helped, anyway. He was a little scared of the fish, he kept backing up, lol!
After awhile my little one got tired of fishing and I got tired of pulling him out of the pond (he kept walking in). So, he went to play in the sand with some toys.
He also tried to play horseshoes and t-ball. My older son told me later, mom you took too many pictures of Hunter. I said, well, that's because I spent all night chasing him around while you were somewhere else playing.
Then we ate on the patio. My little one ate and ate and ate!
After that we learned of sand sledding. Where you use a sled to slide down the hillside. Mitchell wanted to do it, but he had to build up his confidence. He was scared of crashing or flipping on the hill.
As soon as he did it, though, he wanted to do it again and again. He even talked the girls into doing it.
Sorry for picture overload! I just wanted to share what a great time we had at our party!

I homeschooled my kids way before many people did, and had I to do things over, I would still home school! You have many fun times and blessings in store for you, but I think you know that!
Your sons AND your hubby are cute, bet you knew that too.
Our daughter homeschools her 4 children, and she blogs, http://ajoyathome.blogspot.com/

I liked the picture overload very much , thank-you.
Hi Nancy, What a great place to have the homeschool party. I love each and every picture. Wishing you a great day.
What a beautiful place! Land sledding looks like something my kids would be all over!
Looks like a wonderful time! That's neat to have a homeschool group get together like that. Thanks for all the pictures, Nancy- it was fun to see them!
THat looks like a fun end of year picnic! I love the thought of sledding in sand - not as cold:)

It looks like there was a lot to do and a lot of fun. I haven't been fishing in a long time. I, of course, won't touch the bait or this fish, but I like reeling them in! Your boys are cute. The sand sledding looks fun, but I would imagine it's probably a little rough on the behind!
Looks like everyone had a great time with much to do. What a great idea.
wow ! looks like you all had a great time.
When I was little we would camp in SC and go sand dun(sp) sledding it was such fun !
Oh the days of being young ;-0
Have a great day.
Blessings-
Rachelle
Looks like a fun time!! School is almost out for us-and I can't wait.
When my girls were about 3 years old- one of them grabbed a sled out of the basement and took off down the side of the mountain before I could stop her-but she didn't get hurt-just wanted to do it again : )
Hi Nancy,

Oops, Nancy! That was me (Tammy), not my daughter Joy that left the comment above. I was on her laptop and didn't realize she was signed in! That's her blog above. Mine is through This Country Girl's link! Sorry about that!
