Husband Encouragement Challenge Update

I'm participating in the 30 day husband encouragement challenge with Susanne from Truly Captivating. It's a month long challenge to honor our husbands. There is a different instruction given for each day. For example one day we were supposed to tell our husband something we admire about them and another day we were to tell him thank you for a way he serves others. Also for the whole month we aren't supposed to say anything negative to our husbands or about our husbands.

I was doing so good being attentive and listening to everything he said and not saying anything negative. I also met each challenge for the day. However, one day I was extremely frustrated and snapped at him. I suppose only one bad thing in 15 days isn't too bad. But, I still wish I didn't say what I said. I have picked myself back up and am determined, with the Lord's help, not to do that again. Because I know through him I can do this!

Wish me luck for this next 15 days of this challenge! If you're not already doing it with us, I highly recommend signing up for it. It doesn't take a lot of time, so there is no excuse not to. It can only make your marriage better!

Wishing you luck, and praying you up!!! You've got the right idea!! Mama always told me "when you fall of the horse, just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and climb right back on". GIDDY UP, COWGIRL!! ;-)

Good for you, making such a conscientious effort! And one time in 15 days? Yeah, not bad, I say!! Not bad at all! Chances are, if you've really looked at how and why it happened, you've already learned something about yourself and your relationship.

When we're focusing on self-improvement ~ physically or spiritually ~ the times we mess up are usually the most educational. It's not always GOOD things we learn about ourselves, but learning the bad helps fuel our resolve to change.

I think you're doing SO well!! Keep up the great work!

What a great idea! What husband couldn't do with a little more appreciation and support? Good luck with the rest of the challenge.. I'm sure you'll do fine!

My husband is wonderful and most of the time I am amazed at my good fortune to have been blessed with him. I am sure he would also appreciate a few of the tips you have mentioned, but never underestimate the power of a good meat loaf and perfect apple pie to show appreciation. ( and best of all. enough meat loaf left over for meat loaf sandwiches)

Thank-You for sharing this with your readers. I appreciate my husband, but there are many times I do not show him.
Good luck!
Tracy :)
