Making Bread
I was given a bread machine, by a friend, months ago, maybe a year, I don't know. I guess I was kind of scared of it, because I just let it sit in the cabinet. The other day, we didn't have any bread, so I thought, why not finally break out the bread machine and give it a try.
It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be! You just dump the ingredients in, and it does everything for you, even baking it. My first loaf turned out okay. The bread machine makes a really tall loaf of bread. I think maybe next time, I will just let it knead the dough, and I will cook it in a loaf pan. The family loved it, so I know I will have to make more!
I'm sure a lot of y'all already use a bread machine to make bread. I would appreciate any tips, recipes, or help I can get.

Morning Nancy, I have never had a bread machine and had wondered if it was complicated to use. I had a neighbor once who would meet me when I came in from work with a warm loaf of bread!
i have been looking for one for a very long time, only walmart does not sell them ;(
Nancy - I had one when my girls were younger. I let the bread machine do all the work and then I took it out and make rolls or put it in my own loaf pan. The loaves were weird when they came out of the machine :)
Nancy that looks amazing and I bet it smelled wonderfully when it was cooking.
Have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Heidi
We got one when we were married. John made a lot of bread when I was pregnant with Natalie because that was the only thing that tasted good/ didn't make me queasy. He just used the bread machine mixes that you can buy. I think all you have to add is the yeast. Although it's been a long time since we used ours...
I love warm bread!
Yeah, I think you get best results by just letting it do the mixing and then taking it out to bake in the oven. It's a fool-proof way to do the mixing and rising, though!
I have one of those. I love it. It was my Dad's. He used to make bread and take to church once a week for the senior lunches.
I also have one. I use to let it do all the work but, I now only let it do the kneading sometimes. I actually find the kneading process to be a very Zen experience. I made Crusty French Bread recently letting the machine do the kneading. They do have Bread Machine Cookbooks to purchase. I have one with at least a hundred or more Bread Recipe.
I love my bread machine - I've been through 3 in 14 years:) I use the dough cycle a lot - then I can make bread, rolls, cinamon rolls, whatever. 2 hours after putting the ingredients in, I have a loaf of dough to let sit for 20 min. and pop in the oven.

I use my bread machine to make pizza dough. Does yours have a dough setting? I think most do. Just put in the ingredients, and it mixes, kneads and raises it for you. Then take it out and it's ready for the pizza pan.
