His First Haircut

It has taken me a long time to get up the courage to have Hunter's hair cut for the first time!  He was pretty much bald for so long, then he finally got some hair and cute curls.

Above is a pic of me and Hunter around the same age.  I have naturally curly hair too.  I think we kind of look alike.

But, lately his hair has been so unruly and I couldn't do anything with it, so I decided it was time.  My cousin's wife volunteered to cut it for me.  She did such a good job with Hunter's cousin Josh, that I was more than happy to let her cut it for me.

I am such a bad mommy!  I forgot to take my camera with me!  My cousin took a couple pics for me and this was the best one of Hunter getting his hair cut.  I couldn't believe that he sit so still and didn't scream.  He screams for everything!  But, he was so good for Elaine.  He turned his head from time to time, but all in all, he was very well behaved!

Look at him now!  Doesn't he look like a little man now, instead of a baby.  The first hair cut is so hard for the mama!  My oldest was making fun of me, saying it's just a haircut.  He just doesn't understand, lol!

Elaine did such a great job!  He looks much more like a 2 1/2 year old now!

Great haircut..he looks older now, doesn't he? I waited until our youngest was 3 before he got his first one..he has such beautiful blond locks, couldn't bear to have it cut any sooner....sweet memories!
glad I have a few photos of the before and after..

Isn't it funny how their first haircut 'grows them up' so very fast!

Thanks for your comments today. I'm sorry I haven't visited much, I'm not blogging as you know, and I'm barely visiting anyone else's right now. Just having a good break to focus on some other projects.

Hoping you are well.

I think he looks so much older and so cute. I love this new look. I remember how I was with both boys, we actually cut Litte A's hair last year due to the length. I knew he loved it and was much cooler in the hot weather.

The first haircut is always the hardest. My mother-in-law took my oldest to get her first haircut. I was soooo upset with her. She appologized but I still couldn't have that first back. She kept a lock of hair and had her picture framed for me. She had naturally curly hair as well but is now straight as a board.

He looks like a little man, very cute!!

Aww! I had a hard time when my little guy got his first hair cut at 2 years. They definitely don't look like the little babies that they did before.

Nancy,

He is adorable and I love the haircut! I remember when my daughter cut Eli's dark curls off, I just about cried, but he did look like a little girl, so they had to go!

Love to you - Beth

He looks all growed up, now.
I'll bet it's much better for Mama to manage now though.
