Uncover Exciting History

I have always been a history buff.  I was really excited to find out that my oldest son is too!  So, we were more than happy to review Uncover Exciting History by Amy Puetz.  But, don't worry, it's not boring for those who don't like history, either.  Amy has written each history story in short, easy to understand parts with a Christian perspective.

Then for those who want a more in depth look, she recommends books on the subjects, questions to answer, and activities to do.  That's great for children who want to know more about each story.

The stories Amy presents aren't just dates and names, she goes deeper, and gives you a feel of what life was like for those living in that time in history.  We just read The Oregon Trail Story and she gave an example of what they needed to even start on the trail.  She goes on to give an account of what a day on the trail was like.  It really helped my son to understand how hard life was for them.

Uncover Exciting History can be purchased as an e-book for $14.95 or as a paperback for $16.50.  It's 184 pages long and includes such stories as The Lost Colony of Roanoke, The Making of a Republic, The Pony Express, and The Great War.  You can read a sample chapter here.

I was given an e-book from Amy Puetz in association with Mama Bzz in exchange for a review.

What a fun way to learn history! This would be wonderful for my kids when they're a bit older!
