Happy Labor Day!

I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend!  We grilled out a couple times this weekend.  I love it when the hubby cooks on the grill cause it means I don't have to, lol!

I know several of my bloggy friends were taking vacations this weekend.  I wanted to sneak off and go with y'all, but I just stayed around the house.  I hope your trips were fun!

I remember when I was young my mama always said that "in her day" they used to always work on Labor Day and give their pay for the day to the orphanage.  I always wondered if that was just where she worked or everywhere?  Have any of you ever heard of that?  Just curious.  There are so many things that I think of now, that I wish I had asked my mama or daddy about, but now it's too late.

Ahh, I'm right there with ya Nancy. We had a great Labor Day weekend too. Hubby cooked and he even let me use his scroll saw in the woodshop.
I know it would've been better to ask your mom and pops, but we can always look it up on the ole internet now:)

Nancy-I haven't ever heard of that-but what a neat thing to do.

Nope, I have never heard of that either. We always work on Labor Day here. We are slap in the middle of corn harvest. Too much to do to take a sunny day off.

I've never heard of that either, Nancy- that was a wonderful thing to do, though!
