Wonder Hanger Giveaway

My husband and I share a closet.  Granted, it's a long closet, but it's packed.  I swear he has more clothes than I do, lol!  That's why I was super excited to get a package of Wonder Hangers to review.

I'm sure you've seen the Wonder Hanger on TV.  If no, here is some information from the Wonder Hanger Company:

The Wonder Hanger® is an affordable tool that's great for any Spring Cleaning features. This cascading clothes organizer increases closet space by enabling you to stack clothes vertically.  Each Wonder Hanger holds 5 wood, metal or plastic hangers.  There are 8 hangers to a package – enough to hang 40 garments. The open-mouth design allows you to easily add or remove your jackets, skirts, pants and shirts. Supporting up to 20 pounds, it can hold up to 5 heavy winter jackets.
You can use it to group complete outfits or similar items, organize by color or season, and hang handbags or belts.   It retails for $9.99 and can be purchased at major retail chains including Walmart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond and CVS and online at www.buywonderhanger.com.

When I got the Wonder Hanger I had to put it together. It was very easy to snap the hooks on each end. I was ready to hang clothes within minutes. I love the open design of the Wonder Hanger. Years ago I had a similar hanger, but it only had a small round hole. That made it very hard to put things on and take them off. But, with the Wonder Hanger's open design, it's easy. I have used wooden, plastic, and wire hangers and they come off easily.

I'm not sure if it gave me triple the closet space or not. But, I do know I have a lot more room than I did. The Wonder Hanger would work for hanging things like belts and pocketbooks too. I think it would be especially good for hanging your seasonal clothes.

13!

Mitchell is 13 now!  I can't believe I'm the mother of a teenager!

We had such a busy weekend with his birthday party and so many people at our house.  Boy am I tired, lol!

Mitchell was blessed to have everyone he wanted to come make it!

He had cousins, grandparents, friends, and aunts and uncles.

Lots of friends and family to sing Happy Birthday!

They had a great time catching up.

Mitchell loved all the presents he got!

His actual birthday was yesterday, but I got so  busy I never posted.

Happy Birthday Mitchell!  I am so blessed to be your mom!

Babysitting Fun

The other day I was babysitting my cousin's little boy Josh.  He's about 9 months younger than Hunter and so much quieter, lol!  In the picture above, Hunter is showing Josh around.

Hunter wasn't so sure about letting Josh ride his four wheeler, but I told him to ride on the back with him and he did.  He was trying to teach him how to drive it.

I thought this one was funny because Josh was trying to take off without Hunter!

Josh got pretty good at driving and they had a good time together.

Hunter sure has got a lot of use out of his cow!  Check out these pictures from when he was one and almost two.  I'm glad I found the cow at a consignment sale, it has been so worth it!

His First Haircut

It has taken me a long time to get up the courage to have Hunter's hair cut for the first time!  He was pretty much bald for so long, then he finally got some hair and cute curls.

Above is a pic of me and Hunter around the same age.  I have naturally curly hair too.  I think we kind of look alike.

But, lately his hair has been so unruly and I couldn't do anything with it, so I decided it was time.  My cousin's wife volunteered to cut it for me.  She did such a good job with Hunter's cousin Josh, that I was more than happy to let her cut it for me.

I am such a bad mommy!  I forgot to take my camera with me!  My cousin took a couple pics for me and this was the best one of Hunter getting his hair cut.  I couldn't believe that he sit so still and didn't scream.  He screams for everything!  But, he was so good for Elaine.  He turned his head from time to time, but all in all, he was very well behaved!

Look at him now!  Doesn't he look like a little man now, instead of a baby.  The first hair cut is so hard for the mama!  My oldest was making fun of me, saying it's just a haircut.  He just doesn't understand, lol!

Elaine did such a great job!  He looks much more like a 2 1/2 year old now!

Sunday's Song- Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus

 I was looking through an old hymnal last night and saw this song.  I haven't heard it in ages, so I thought I would share it.  Have a beautiful Sunday!

Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus

1. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    ye soldiers of the cross;
    lift high his royal banner,
    it must not suffer loss.
    From victory unto victory
    his army shall he lead,
    till every foe is vanquished,
    and Christ is Lord indeed.

2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    the trumpet call obey;
    forth to the mighty conflict,
    in this his glorious day.
    Ye that are brave now serve him
    against unnumbered foes;
    let courage rise with danger,
    and strength to strength oppose.

3. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    stand in his strength alone;
    the arm of flesh will fail you,
    ye dare not trust your own.
    Put on the gospel armor,
    each piece put on with prayer;
    where duty calls or danger,
    be never wanting there.

4. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    the strife will not be long;
    this day the noise of battle,
    the next the victor's song.
    To those who vanquish evil
    a crown of life shall be;
    they with the King of Glory
    shall reign eternally.

Cleaning Our Vinyl Siding

My husband and I have been talking about cleaning our vinyl siding for, oh,  about a year now, lol!  We finally decided it was time to do something about it!  The north side of the house was the worst.  Unfortunately it's also the side everyone enters the house in when they visit.  So, it really needed to be done!

We have been living here for about 2 and 1/2 years and had never cleaned it!  I guess you can probably tell by the picture above.  Gross!

We put everyone to work.  My husband sprayed on a mixture of 1/2 bleach and 1/2 water with a little Awesome mixed in.  Then Mitchell would use the scrub brush to clean it off.

Then Hunter helped me wash it off with the water hose.  We all took turns on all the different jobs, so no one had to do one thing the whole time.

I am so glad we finally decided to wash it!  It looks brand new again!  To see more tackles visit 5 Minutes For Mom.

Sunday's Song- In The Garden

Here's today's hymn.  I hope you enjoy it and have a beautiful Sunday.

In The Garden

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.

Refrain
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

Refrain
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

Refrain
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

Hubby's New Grill

My husband loves steak!  I mean, loves, loves, loves it!  His favorite way to eat it is cooked on the grill.  His grill was getting kinda old and would even catch on fire from time to time.  So, he had been wanting to find a new one.  I love it when he cooks steak too!  I don't eat them, but when he cooks on the grill, it means I don't have to cook!

We had been looking at grills for a few weeks.  Most of the ones we found had a really small top grilling surface.  He wanted to find a bigger one that would hold the steaks he loves to cook.  We checked everywhere, but ended up finding one he really liked at Walmart

He loves his new grill!  My friend came over and ate steaks cooked on the grill one night, and declared that we should always get a new grill cause those steaks were the best steaks ever!  My husband agrees that they are so much better on this new grill.  I'm just glad he's happy now and that I have to cook less again!  It's a win-win situation!

Fun With Friends

We went out of town to spend Easter with my best friend Barb and her kids.   Mitchell is trying to find an egg.  We miscounted, so they were looking for eggs that were already found.  Oops!

 Hunter has the cutest curly hair!  I am going to hate having it cut!

The boys had a blast hunting eggs with their friends.  It was dark when they got done!

Thanks Barb for getting a pic of me and the hubby!

Mitchell's Easter basket.  Well, most of it, he had already stolen a few things out of it, lol!

Someone thinks they are being sneaky eating candy under the table.

Well, that was our Easter!  I hope yours was wonderful too!
