Catching Up

I hope you all had a good New Year's celebration!  We shot off fireworks in our backyard.  We had bought a lot for the 4th of July, and still had plenty left.  The kids really enjoyed them.  They especially liked the parachute men that glide down.  They love to chase and see who can catch them.

A lot of the south got a white Christmas.  It was kind of funny.  I told my cousin up in West Virginia to send me 4 inches of her snow and she said she would, and the next day it snowed!  So cool!  So, we had snow too, it was just a day late.  I think it would have been much more magical to wake up to a white Christmas than a day after Christmas snow.  It was still very pretty, just not as special.

Here are a couple pics of the kids opening presents.  I think Hunter's favorite was a Tractor trailer with a loader.  He has slept with it every night and it takes up half his bed, lol.

Mitchell's favorite would probably be his DSi XL.  He has wanted a DS for years and finally got one.

We adults are thankful for some angels who made Christmas even more special for our kids!

Oh Nancy, the snow is so beautiful! Is it still hanging around, or has it melted off already?
And the angels? The looks on the boys faces makes it all worthwhile, doesn't it!

Happy New Year Nancy! I have been catching up on your posts. Your boys are growing so fast and they look so very happy with their Christmas presents. Your snow photos are beautiful. We had just enough to be pretty without being dangerous. I wish you all the very best in the new year.

Beautiful snowy pics!
We had just a bit of snow around the holidays but not much. Most of it hit the southern end of our state so I'm still waiting for the "big" snow of the year and keeping my fingers crossed that we get one.
Both boys looks very happy with their gifts.
Happy New Year!

Kate the snow hung around for a few days, then it got back up in the 60's! Why can't our weather ever stay one way instead of going back and forth?

Your youngest looks like a little man in that picture! We even had a dusting of snow here on the coast--it was lovely!
