Strawberry Plants

We got our strawberry plants just in time to plant them before the rain. And boy has it been raining here lately. Every week days of rain! I really miss the sun!

The strawberry plants came in these bags. Twenty five plants were in each bag. They are very small, with roots and just a little green on the top.

We planted them in a bed right beside the garden. It will take at least a year until they will produce strawberries. I really hope I can keep them alive that long. Strawberries are one of our favorite things. I would love to be able to make some strawberry jam for my son someday. He loves homemade jam.

I wish you the best with the strawberries. I have never grown any. The homemade jam sounds delish! Have a nice weekend.

Wow! What an undertaking ! But I'm sure they'll do just fine if you remember to keep them watered and talk to them every now and again!

There's nothing better than homemade strawberry jam from your very own strawberries, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Strawberry jam sounds great to me...especially the freezer jam! Good luck with your plants. I'd like to try one of those strawberry towers this year cause we don't get enough sun in our backyard.

I wish you luck with your strawberries as well! Yours look a little greener than mine :) Maybe we'll both have some luck. I'd love to have some to make jam, and to freeze for smoothies!
