Book Review- The Blue Enchantress

I was given a copy of The Red Siren by a friend and I really enjoyed it. Ever since I finished that book I have been visiting the author, M.L. Tyndall's blog. When she asked for "influencers" for her next book, I eagerly asked to be one.

The Blue Enchantress is the second in Tyndall's Charles Towne Belles series. It's set in the early 1700's and focuses on Hope Westcott. Hope is a young lady who has been hurt over some bad things that have happened to her. Since then, she has made poor choices trying to find love and acceptance.

Nathaniel Mason is a young man trying to build his shipping business. He's attracted to Hope, but he doesn't like the way she lives her life, so he ignores his feelings. He also ignores God's calling for him to become a preacher.

Hope ends up being sold on the auction block and Nathaniel must decide how much he is willing to lose in order to keep Hope safe.

I thouroughly enjoyed this book! I believe it's even better than the first book of the series, although, I like them both. I could really identify with Hope. She has a tendency to talk without thinking, just like me. She also goes from man to man trying to find real love. Hope has to learn the only way to find real happiness is through Jesus. Nathaniel has problems of his own too, even though he's a Christian man, he has a lot to learn himself.

The Blue Enchantress is filled with action. It pulled me in from the very beginning. There are sword fights, shipwrecks, and pirates! I love historical romances, and this one was awesome. I used to find Christian fiction boring, but, I now realize I was just reading the wrong ones. I can't wait to read the next book in this series which is due in the spring.

The video below is the book trailer, kind of like a movie preview, only for books.

Sounds very exciting. I haven't had time to read a book that wasn't for the kids or school in 12 years, lol.
