My Husband Is My Hero

Monday night I grabbed my laptop off my son's train table and didn't have a good enough grip on it and dropped it. My world shattered! I felt sick to my stomach! I just knew it would never work again. I carefully picked it up and it was still working. However, I could only open the lid a couple inches. When I tried to open it further, I could see the plastic over the keyboard straining.

My husband took it apart, to see if he could fix it. It turns out the lcd hinge arm was broken off. After a lot of looking online for a part, I finally found one. The only one for my particular computer came in a set. I only needed the left one, so I will have a spare for the right one. The part and shipping was $91. But, if I would have taken it to a computer shop, I'm sure it would have cost a whole lot more!

The part came Friday and my husband started putting it all back together. In the meantime, I was sitting there praying that was the only thing broken and that it would still work like it used to. We had to go out of town before he could finish putting it together, so he did the rest tonight. So far it seems to be working great! Thank you Ronnie!!!

That is great that you found the part and he got it all back together. You two make a great team. We lost internet and tv during a storm Friday night and I felt lost without my computer!!!

Oh no, this kind of happening to me. If you recall I stood up and it fell, avoiding to hit someone in the head for she was underneath me. It went down crashing on the side and breaking my internet device that hooks me online. Had to wait a week to get my piece in the mail. Phew. Glad you got yours really fast, that fear you get in your tummy is an awful feeling. Great hubby you got there.

Yay for you! Aren't we always amazed at how our husbands can fix things? Also Nancy, I am so sorry about Prince in your last post. No matter how many animals I have lost in this wonderful "country life" it never gets easier. He was such a pretty boy! Blessings,Kathleen

I thought our computer died once. It made a funny whirring sound when it would try start up. My husband figured we had nothing to loose so he took it apart and found a loose screw. He tightened it up and voila, it worked again. Gotta love handy husbands.
