Thinking of This for a Halloween Costume

I love getting dressed up. Any occasion will do. Remember VBS this year? Me and Barb dressed up every day!

Now, I've figured out my costume for this year.  You can see it in a few days!

But I was thinking of this for next year!

SCROLL DOWN

AND TELL ME

WHAT YOU THINK

OF THIS AS A COSTUME?  YES or NO?????

Wonder if I could get someone to make it for me?  I think it would make for a GORGEOUS costume with all those pretty colors Kid Rock has!

My First Hands-On Bible Review

I recently had the opportunity to review My First Hands-On Bible from Tyndale Publications. It's a fun way to get young children interested in learning about the Bible. There are 85 stories that are reinforced by a variety of activities included in each lesson.

Hunter, who is four, was excited when he first saw My First Hands-On Bible!  I think he liked the colorful cover.  He had to look through it for quite awhile before he would let me read him a story.

The pictures I have posted here are from the lesson I am reading in the video below called "A Fish Swallows Jonah".  As you can see, the pages are filled with engaging characters and colors!

Some of the things I really like about My First Hands-On Bible are the fun activities listed and the fact that it includes real Scripture to go along with each lesson.  There is also a prayer at the end of each story.

I received My First Hands-On Bible from Tyndale Publications in association with Mama Bzz Media in exchange for an honest review.

HEXBUG Nano Halloween Zombie Party

This past weekend I hosted a HEXBUG Nano Halloween Zombie Party!   Now, in case you haven't heard of what HEXBUGs are, they are robotic creatures that act like real bugs.  For example, if you place a HEXBUG upside down, it will turn itself back over.

Since we were having a Halloween themed party, I made some spooky foods for everyone to enjoy.  We had Mummy Dogs and Dirt and Worm cups, and more.

We enjoyed a few games like Find the HEXBUG Nano Zombie.

Wrap your partner as a Mummy.

Then we had a competition to see which team could build a Glow in the Dark HEXBUG Nano Habitat set the fastest.

Each team had different ideas.

Here's a short video that shows the HEXBUGs in their Habitat.

They are so fun, that even the adults wanted to take one home with them.  My kids have played with them every single day since they got them.  I can't believe how much they love them!  My oldest said HEXBUGs are at the top of his  Christmas list!

A big thanks goes out to MommyParties and Innovations First Labs for letting me host this awesome HEXBUG Nano Zombie Halloween Party!

Mr. Fix-It

My husband is a jack of all trades, but a master of none, so he says. But whenever anything needs fixing, people bring things to him. Sometimes it's cars, sometimes lawn mowers,  sometimes it's tractors. He'll try to fix it if at all possible. I am so happy that he's teaching both my sons to be hard workers too!

He fixes things for friends, relatives, and neighbors. Always willing to lend a helping hand, or two, lol! I am very glad that he is handy with his tools and can fix our things, as well as things for others.

New Kid In The Coop

He sat down to eat, crazy chicken!
A couple weeks ago my cousin gave me a new chicken. He pretty much knows I'll take any chicken he would bring. My place is like a retirement home for hens who don't lay anymore and a halfway house for chickens who don't really have a home, lol! I'll take anything, as long as it isn't mean.

He doesn't understand why I want to take his picture
He told me he was bringing a rooster, but when I got him, he didn't really look like a rooster.  He's kinda in that teenage phase.  But, looking at his tail feathers and the way they fall down, I think he is a baby rooster.  He is all legs!  But quite pretty, I think.  He looks like a full blooded Rhode Island Red.

He said he'd had enough of me, and ran away.
I hope he enjoys his new home here!
