Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust Prize Pack Giveaway

I love making pizza at home, but prefer not to have to make the crust from scratch.  I just can't seem to make it taste like I want.  Luckily Pillsbury has a new Artisan Pizza Crust that has 16 grams of whole grain per serving!  So it not only tastes great, it has the added benefit of extra whole grain.

Having a pre-made crust makes it so much easier to make a quick pizza.  All I have to do is pop open the can, spread the crust out and put whatever toppings we want on it, then bake.  Easy peasy!

If you don't want to wait to try the new Pillsbury Artisan Crust Pizza, you can print out a coupon here that will save you a little money.

One lucky reader will receive a Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Prize Pack to try for themselves!  It will include:

  • VIP coupon for  New Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust with Whole Grain
  • $10 gift card (ingredients)
  • Baking sheet
  • Oven mitt
  • Pizza cutter

5 Years Old

Mitchell holding Hunter as an infant

Earlier this month we celebrated Hunter's birthday with a little party with friends and family.  He turned 5, I can't believe my baby is 5 now!   Where does the time go?  Both of my boys are so big now!

He had a monster themed party and Barb made this cute cake for him.  She does such a great job making cakes.  You should visit her blog and see the cool one she made for her son's birthday last week.

Hunter has always been into tractors so he was very happy to get some new ones for his birthday.  He also got a monster truck, some books, a bow and arrow, a bubble blower, and a gun from his big brother.

Back to School with HP- $25 Walmart Gift Card Giveaway

Well, it's that time of year again!  Whether your kids are just starting out in Kindergarten like my youngest, or are in the midst of high school like my oldest, they all have different things they need in order to get ready for back-to-school.  You want to make especially sure that those going off to college have all the technology they need to help them have a great year!

The best place to start your back-to-school shopping is Walmart!  They have some of the latest technology available now!  One of the most important needs in our homeschool is a computer!  This HP Pavilion DV-6 Entertainment laptop would be a wonderful addition to anyone's school or homeschool.
HP DV-6
This HP DV-6 has a 15.6" LED display, an AMD Quad Core processor that's great for running multiple applications, 8 GB of system memory, a 750 GB hard drive, and has quad speakers and a subwoofer!

One of the things I use the most in our schooling is a printer.  Check out the HP Deskjet 3052A e-All-in-One printer:

This HP printer features scan, copy, wireless printing, and e-printing from your tablet or smartphone from virtually anywhere! That means you can send an assignment from school to home, or basically anywhere!

And of course you're going to need ink for printing all those assignments, check out HP XL print cartridges:

You can save up to 40% on ink by getting HP XL cartridges. Since they last a lot longer, you don't have to change them as often!

Here's a short video I made telling you more about these products:

To help you get started with your back-to-school shopping, I have a $25 gift card to Walmart to give away to one of my lucky readers!

Hoover TwinTank Steam Mop Review

I have said goodbye to my old mop and hello to my new Hoover TwinTank Steam Mop .   So far, I am loving this machine!  I have always wanted a steam cleaner for my kitchen and bathrooms, as I hate having to drag a mop bucket around.

This mop was easy to put together and is very lightweight.  It has 2 tanks on it, one for cleaning solution and one for water.  It came with a sample of their cleaning solution, 3 microfiber pads, a carpet glider, and a cooling station to put it on after mopping.  The pads are all machine washable and should be laid flat to dry.

After assembling it, I filled the tanks up, plugged it in, pushed the power button, and waited for it to heat up.  It said it could take up to 30 seconds, but the green "steam ready" light came on way before that.  I started with my kitchen and dining room and it was great having the extra long cord and not having to unplug it just to finish mopping both the floors.  It also has a solution control knob with four settings ranging from steam only to tough stains.  I was worried about the small tank size, but they last a long time!

I had a pretty good stuck on spot of koolaide and dirt on the kitchen floor and it only took 4 swipes of the TwinTank Steam Mop to clean it and no pressure like I usually have to apply with my old mop.  That right there sold me!  I used to have to push and push on the old mop to get a spot like that up!  It turns really easily and quickly.  It didn't quite get corners as clean as I would have liked, but everything else was great!  Seeing all the dirt on the pad when I was done really proved how well it had cleaned.

You can clean your floors with Hoover's SteamPlus Cleaning Solution or you can use steam alone.  It works to clean laminate, tile, sealed hardwood, and it refreshes carpet with the steam only option. It not only cleans, it disinfects and kills or removes 99.99% of harmful bacteria.  Which is awesome considering my youngest spends much of the day on the floor playing.

I highly recommend the Hoover TwinTank Steam Mop !

I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.

Sky VBS 2012

For the past couple weeks we have had Vacation Bible School at our church.  The theme this year was SKY- Everything is possible with God.  After last year's awesome VBS, I wasn't sure I would enjoy it as much, but thankfully I was wrong.  It was very fun!

Since the theme was Sky, it was all about airplanes, kites, and hot air balloons.  The kids enjoyed getting their pictures took in the plane and hot air balloon someone had made for us.

The kids made these bird houses and took them to those who had lost loved ones this past year and some to those who just can't get out like they used to.  Last year during VBS we had Mama Cora with us, she passed away a few weeks after VBS, so this year we were really missing her!

Fun during game time
The cool thing about Sky was it came with software and a script to make a movie using the kids and the adults.  Everyone had fun watching these movies at the end of every night.

They were supposed to be confused for the movie, but I think they look sleepy, lol
By the end of VBS, Hunter had learned to "Trust God" in everything and some of the songs too.  The kids seemed to have a great time and I did too!

Saturday was time for water fun!  First they start off with water guns and throwing buckets of water, then later they switch to the redneck slip-n-slide (a tarp with dish detergent and water).

Hunter had a blast on the slip-n-slide

What did y'all do for VBS this year?
